Tom Godfrey

A recent transplant from Atlanta, Tom Godfrey moved to Albuquerque in 2018. In Atlanta, Tom began teaching privately in 2004. Tom earned a degree in Music Education from the University of Illinois in 1988. As an Atlanta performer, Tom appeared most often as a soloist, as half of the jazz duo Godfrey and Guy, and as the guitarist for the Sentimental Journey Orchestra. Tom typesets music for various publishers, served as Director of Music at Northwest Unitarian Universalist Congregation from 2011 to 2017, and then served as Contemporary Band Director at the same church from 2017 to 2018. Tom moved to Albuquerque for the beautiful landscape, hiking trails, and to escape Atlanta traffic!
